For my nieces 1st birthday, my sister had booked a ‘cottage’ for the family, for 2 nights, to stay and enjoy the celebrations.
I say cottage, but it was more of a bed and breakfast feel to it, with separate facilities for guests. The venue was called Llety Cynin. You can access the website here.
We had exclusive access to the living area and a kitchen, as we were a group booking of over 12 people. The living and kitchen facilities were great, and there was plenty of seating and space for people to relax. There was also a TV and a range of DVD’s, along with books and some board games.
We stayed in room 1, which could sleep up to 5 guests (one super king bed) and three single beds – and there was an en-suite bathroom, with a shower.

There was really heavy rain most of the weekend, so we weren’t able to make use of the children’s play park onsite, or the woodland walk.
We did however get to use the swimming pool, which is free for guests staying at the accommodation. There are set hours however, which are 9am-6pm, with the last entry being at 5pm.
Aside from two children having swimming lessons, the pool was empty. It was plenty big enough for the boys, and there were toys, balls and floats that you could use on the side of the pool. (Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take pictures of the pool to show you, as there were signs everywhere stating not to do so – but they do have a picture on their website). We spent hours in there over the course of the weekend – which was a very welcome retreat from the rain.
Llety Cynin has plenty to offer – in addition to the facilities I’ve mentioned above – they also have a restaurant, function rooms, a gym, spa treatments and have function rooms available.
Being so busy with the family, I unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy any of the other facilities, as we were spending time as a family, however I was impressed with the accommodation, so would stay there again. Perhaps one day soon I’ll get a child free evening and will be able to go and sample the restaurant, spa treatments and sauna that are available.
Whilst we were there however, we did get out and about when we found a two hour break in the rain. We visited Laugharne which is a few miles down the road. Have you stayed? Would you stay again? I definitely would, and would highly recommend. I would love to know your thoughts 🙂
